The name Pearls stand for Program for Engineering Access, Retention, and LIATS Success. This program, which looks to help students with an economic disadvantage, is sponsored by the National Science Foundation. It's main purpose is to help students seeking masters or bachelors degrees to complete their studies and successfully transition into their profession. They achieve this by giving each student personalized mentorship, skill training, research or Coop opportunities and grants of up to $15,000 during their respective degrees.
